WELCOME TO THE PRACTICE
Welcome to the Brough and South Cave Medical Practice. We are a partnership of 10 general practitioners. Six partners provide medical services from our Brough surgery and four from our South Cave surgery (see details on front cover). The practice’s contract to provide General Medical Services to patients in the area is held with the East Yorkshire Primary Care Trust, Health House, Willerby HU10 6DT (tel: 01482 650700). The practice provides all services included in the General Medical Services Contract. In addition, we are also contracted to provide childhood immunisations, annual flu vaccinations, minor surgery, anti-coagulation therapy monitoring, near patient testing (regular monitoring of patients taking certain types of medication), contraception device (coil fitting and removal), care for patients in nursing homes, post-operative care, glucose tolerance testing, methadone prescribing in association with a specialist drug worker, Zoladex and Implanon (contraceptive) implant insertions.
When you join the practice you will register at either the Brough or the South Cave surgeries and, under normal circumstances, will be asked to contact only the surgery you are registered with. As you will see, this booklet provides information about both surgeries; please take the time to read it. It explains about the services we offer, in particular our contact telephone numbers, how our appointment system works and, if you are taking regular medication, how to obtain a repeat prescription.
This
website has been designed to tell you about the practice and the services that
we offer. Please read it carefully. We trust that you will find it helpful and
informative.
